The Barcelona City Council offers the possibility of getting to know first hand two new public housing developments of new construction, located in the districts of Sant Martí and Nou Barris. It will be in a double open day focused on all citizens who are interested, a few days before the new neighbors receive the keys to the apartments, after having made the respective processes of adjudication through the Barcelona Social Housing Applicants Register.
A total of 122 public housing units, some of them for the elderly, which are part of the expansion of the public and affordable housing stock that is being developed throughout the city. The visit to either of the two developments is free, but requires prior registration, and will allow access to the interior of the homes. In all cases it will be done with closed groups and will last approximately 30 minutes.

This is an opportunity for the residents of Barcelona to discover, up close, some of the homes that are coming to light in the city, and that in a matter of a few days will begin to receive their awardees, once they receive the keys to the apartment.
In the case of the Maresme-Puigcerdà development, it is made up of two buildings: one of subsidized housing with services for the elderly, with 48 apartments, and one with surface rights with 27 apartments, commercial premises and parking from Maresme Street. A building that is part of the development plan of public and affordable housing in Sant Martí, undoubtedly one of the most expanding districts of the city. Not in vain, since 2015 the park is growing by approximately 2,000 apartments, with an investment of around 244 million euros.
Regarding the development located in Torre Baró (Nou Barris), the building consists of 47 public rental housing units and 21 parking spaces and is part of a group of public housing developments in the Torre Baró neighborhood. An iconic neighborhood of the city marked by the symbiosis between the nature of the Collserola Park and the city of Barcelona.
