Legislative, social and economic changes make it necessary to rethink housing policy. For this reason, Barcelona City Council has launched the new Housing Plan 2025-2032 to develop a new strategic framework to reorganise, define and establish the pillars of work in this area and to develop the city’s housing policy in the coming years.
In order to achieve this, an open participatory process has been launched to include the voices of citizens, professionals in the sector, and organisations and associations defending the right to housing, in order to make an initial assessment of the situation in Barcelona. This period of reflection and work will serve to provide appropriate responses to current problems and anticipate future solutions.
