The Barcelona City Council, through the Municipal Institute of Housing and Renovation (IMHAB), has held the lottery this Friday, June 30th, starting at 12:30 PM. This lottery has determined the households that will benefit from one of the 163 remaining homes in Bon Pastor, after the relocation of families affected by the neighborhood’s urban renovation.
After the final lists of applicants who are eligible for a home in this process have been formalized, a lottery conducted by a notary public has determined the selected individuals. The lottery can be followed by streaming and can be seen again at this link.
The lottery have been done separately, with as many draw as there are final lists of applicants, and both the prior system of random assignment of participation numbers in the lottery and the number extraction follow a computerized procedure endorsed by the Expertise Commission of the Official College of Computer Engineering of Catalonia.

In 2003, the Barcelona City Council and the Bon Pastor Neighborhood Association signed an agreement for the renovation of the affordable housing complex in Bon Pastor, planned in four phases. Currently, the fourth and final phase is underway, which includes the construction of five blocks with a total of 244 housing units.
