The project means a revamp to 21,000 square metres, between C/ Tallada, C/ Biosca, C/ Sant Adrià and Pg. Mollerussa, in the district of Sant Andreu, creating new green areas and improving connectivity and accessibility. Six million euros will be invested, with work due to be completed in October 2022.
The transformation of the area around the old cheap-build houses in the Bon Pastor neighbourhood continues. The Municipal Institute for Urban Planning (IMU) has started to revamp the spatial layout of the area which will surround the houses in the fourth stage of the remodelling project in the neighbourhood.
The remodelling project for the cheap low-build houses in the Bon Pastor neighbourhood consists of five stages, three of which have now been completed. The urban revamp was defined through a particpation process to gather input from local people.
The area will have a central square, new children’s play areas, table-top games and a picnic area to foster use of the space among local people. There will also be a new garden with 14,000 square metres of green space, LED lighting, sustainable drainage systems and new urban furniture such as seating, litter bins, bollards, bike parking and water springs.
