On 28 June, the car park managed by Barcelona’s Municipal Institute of Housing and Renovation (IMHAB) on Carrer Clariana 8, in the Baró de Viver neighbourhood (Sant Andreu district) can be visited in small, pre-booked groups. Visiting hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 7.30 p.m. and will last half an hour. Booking is necessary and can be done via this form, by calling 670 054 334 (from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6.30 p.m.) or in person at Baró de Viver Civic Centre (Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
The idea behind the open day is for the neighbourhood residents to get to know the facilities and to show the parking spaces and installations, as well as to inform those who are interested about the terms and conditions for buying and renting them. The spaces are offered at a moderate price and financing is available.
The Carrer Clariana car park will have 128 affordable spaces which will join the public offer of parking spaces to rent or buy offered through the IMHAB parking spaces service. The main mission of IMHAB is the management of public housing stock, but this management also includes secondary products such as parking spaces. Public housing developments often have car parks, and these spaces are not always occupied by the residents. Any that remain are offered to local residents at moderate prices. All the information about the purchase or rental terms and conditions for accessing the spaces will be given during the visit.
