The Barcelona Housing Consortium (CHB) has published the final list of entities that have been awarded public housing for use in inclusive housing initiatives. A total of 35 entities were selected, of which 10 were awarded for their proposals and 25 were placed on the waiting list.
The allocation process has been carried out in accordance with point 7.7 of the Regulatory Guidelines and the housing units have been allocated to the entities with the highest scores in each of the nine collective typologies listed. The same criterion was applied to the units on the waiting list.
The list includes the first housing units proposed by the entities, and if the waiting list is exhausted, a new list will be created with the second housing units.
In order to continue in the allocation process, the necessary requirements must continue to be met until the agreement or contract is formalised by the delivery of the specific allocated housing unit. Failure to meet these requirements will result in the exclusion of the applicant entity.
The duration of the agreement or contract will be for a minimum of three years, in accordance with the relevant regulations, and may be renewed on a case-by-case basis.
Public housing for vulnerable groups
The awardees are private, not-for-profit and social initiative organisations serving people with health needs, homeless people, people with mental health problems, people facing housing exclusion and other vulnerable groups.
The flats range in size from 40 m² to 90 m² and have one, two or three bedrooms.
