A large number of companies have already shown interest in the new tender for the construction of 350 affordable rental homes launched by Barcelona City Council through the Municipal Institute of Housing and Renovation (IMHAB), which is currently in the submission phase.
Representatives of interested entities attended the information session held this Thursday morning at the IMHAB offices and were able to clear up any doubts about the conditions of the public tender, which aims to build and manage these public homes for 75 years. The new flats will be built on three plots of land in the districts of Sants-Montjuïc and Sant Martí (2-4 Acer Street, 17-27 Ascó Street and 355-363 Llull Street).
Legal and technical representatives from IMHAB have presented the most important aspects of the specifications and the procurement process, highlighting the points of greatest interest.
During the meeting, the basic issues of the project were reviewed, such as the purpose of the contract, the requirements for participation, the evaluation and selection criteria, the conditions for awarding and formalising the contract, etc.
The meeting was also used to address some of the more specific concerns of potential bidders. Questions were asked about the economic conditions and also about more technical issues, such as the volume requirements of the buildings to be constructed on the three plots.
This is not the only communication channel for interested companies. All the questions submitted in writing by the entities via the Public Procurement Services Platform will be answered and published on the notice board of the tender announcement.
